As we stand on the threshold of a new year, it is worth remembering that time is continuous, but humans need milestones. We need moments like this to pause, plan, remember, and understand our lives.
We love the sense of a fresh start that a new year brings. Yet the truth is that tomorrow will still look a lot like today. The weather, struggles, responsibilities, and circumstances do not magically transform because the calendar changed. If we want the new year to be better, the change must begin within us.
As I reflect on the journey so far, I am grateful for the experiences and lessons the past year gave me. It added important chapters to my life. Now I receive the new year with open arms and high hopes, asking the Lord for wisdom to make decisions that align with His heart.
It is also important to remember that God does not align His blessings with our calendars. He does not wait for a new year to begin His work in us, and He is not bound by the “year of _______” trends we often hear. His grace and mercies are new every morning. God remains unchanging: yesterday, today, tomorrow, and forever.
So, as we step into this new year, I extend my best wishes to everyone pursuing growth, courage, diligence, service, excellence, and a deeper connection with God.
